We open the new year with a geographically unusually "tight" tour. We begin in Belgium, with a concert and masterclass in Waterloo's Queen Elisabeth Academy. For this concert, we'll be joined by clarinetist Pierre Genison. A short train ride down to Paris for an appearance at the Quartet Biennale, with Mozart's D-Minor, Shostakovich's 2nd Quartet, and Beethoven's Op.59 No.2. London is next, with a short afternoon BBC concert of Haydn and Bartok followed by a repeat of the program from Paris on the 21th. Back to Belgim for some beer, oh and a concert in Maasmechelen, and ending with the Amsterdam quartet Biennale, where we'll perform several works, and collaborate and interact with some fantastic other quartets, something we rarely get to do.
